Gary is survived by, his children, Brett (Brigid Molony) Walters, Holly (Steven) Wiesler, Robin (Scott) VandeHei, and Trisha (Rob) Connolly; His grandchildren, Meagen (Mark Haley) Schievink, Stephanie (Zach) Holt, Kayla Walters, Danielle (Nathan Nickel) Walters, Savannah (Dakota) Johnson, Henry Molony Walters, Sean Molony, Maija (Chris Appleby) Birzgalis, Spencer (Jelena Stevelik) Birzgalis, Kassidy (Noah Pepin) Birzgalis, Emily (Zac) Lowis, and Hannah VandeHei; Great-grandchildren, Bryce, Jadyse, and Kael Schievink, Benjamin Walters-Gokey, Serenity Schwartzenberger, Landyn and Mason Brooks, Willow Johnson, Max Frydrych, Oliver Semrau, Sawyer and Jonah Lowis.
He is further survived by, his siblings, Judy (Rich) Podraza, Darlene (Dick) Behnke and Rick (Barb) Walters; also Jodys siblings, Lorna Converse, Al (Marge) Voelker, Linda Voelker, Dick (Cheryl) Voelker and Wayne (Mary) Voelker; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Jody, Gary was preceded in death by, his parents John and Irene Walters; his in-laws, George and Gertrude Voelker; brothers-in-law, Gene, Hank, Jay and Verlon Voelker and Jim Converse; sisters-in-law, Lora and Margie Voelker; nephew, Mike Voelker and niece, Desiree Walters.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 20, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 2:00 to time of services at 4:00 pm with Father John Harper officiating.
